For as long as I remember I have wanted to serve my creator in a full time capacity. As a side effect, I involved myself in a lot of Christian activity that kept me busy, but also helped me to ignore my own load of stuff. The role of ‘new creation’ in my life was more of an overcoat than a renewed heart and mind. I would just put on my new man coat and go serve God.
To make a long story short, the Holy Spirit showed me a glimpse of the uncloaked Mike Sheldon, and I was broken and ready to serve God in a new, exciting, and scary way. I was ready to serve God by allowing him to penetrate and change my heart.
I am a savage in God’s kingdom, but I now know who my king is and I am on a pilgrimage to be with him.
On this journey, I have been called to bring anyone who will come into God’s presence in a hope that hearts will be penetrated and changed.
I believe in the power of God to transform hearts.
